What this replaces
What you'd otherwise pay
Compliance for a small firm usually means one of three things. Here's what each actually costs.
Consultant retainer
£400–£1,500 / month
A typical retainer for a small firm. A good deal of it pays for record-keeping, register upkeep and chasing — the routine layer, not the judgement.
Comparable platforms
£1,000+ / month
Platforms offering anything comparable start at over £1,000 a month — usually behind a demo call, usually on a 12-month contract.
DIY spreadsheets
£0 up front
Free, until you need to prove something. No audit trail, no reminders, no board reporting — and no answer when the FCA asks how you know.
An honest framing
Fenchurch One replaces the recording, registers and reporting layer — the part that quietly eats a retainer. It does not replace judgement. If you want a consultant for the genuinely unusual calls, keep one; you'll simply need fewer of their hours.
What's inside the price
The templates alone earn their keep
Included on Growth
74 ready-made policy templates
Off-the-shelf FCA compliance manuals retail at roughly £765–£975, one-off. The Growth policy pack compares to that on its own — and it lives inside a platform that keeps every policy dated, versioned and due for review, rather than in a binder.
Included on Pro
74-chapter Compliance Monitoring Plan library
Pro adds a full Compliance Monitoring Plan library — 74 chapters covering the checks a regulated firm is expected to run, ready to adopt and adapt. Browse the full template library.
People records are unlimited on every plan — only login seats are capped.
Pricing questions
Asked before buying, answered honestly
Which plan should I start on?
Most firms start on Starter — it's the full platform, including the AI Compliance Report. Choose Growth if you want the 74 policy templates, the Executive Summary report, or more than one board. Choose Pro if you run several boards, or want the Compliance Monitoring Plan library, the FCA Dry Run, the FCA Returns tracker or white-label branding. You can change plan at any time, so the safe answer is: start low, move up when you hit a limit.
What is a board?
A board is one self-contained set of records — its own registers, people, documents and reports, kept entirely separate from every other board, with access you control user by user. Most firms run one. But a board can be whatever you need it to be: a team, a department, a branch or office, a broker, an appointed representative, an agent, or another firm in your group. Starter includes 1 board, Growth up to 3, Pro unlimited — and setting up a new one takes a click.
What's the difference between users and people records?
A user is a login seat — someone who can sign in and work in the platform. A people record is an entry in your People area — anyone you hold SM&CR or staff records about. People records are unlimited on every plan; only login seats are capped. A firm of 25 staff can hold all 25 people records on Starter, as long as no more than 3 of them need to log in.
Can I change plan later?
Yes — any time, from your billing portal. No phone call, no notice period, no penalty. Upgrade when you need more, downgrade when you don't.
How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required at checkout, but nothing is charged during the trial — cancel from your billing portal before day 14 and you pay nothing at all. If you stay, your subscription simply starts.
Do the prices include VAT?
No VAT is added at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay — £95, £145 or £195 a month, exactly.
What does white-label mean?
On Pro, you can put your own logo and colours across the platform and the reports you share. Useful if you oversee several firms, or simply want your board pack to carry your branding rather than ours.
